jane brendgen

 

Jane coaches individual and works with teams. She designed some of our workshops and delivers these personally.

Jane has worked in the field of organizational and personal development for the past 9 years, delivering individual and team coaching and running workshops to organisations such as The Discovery Channel, GroupM, News International, Channel 4, Channel 5, The Walt Disney Company and MediaCom.  She has also worked with clients such as MSN Microsoft, AOL and a number of NHS Trusts.

Mindfulness is integral to Jane’s life and work and she is passionate about bringing the benefits of it to individuals and into the workplace.  She teaches our 8-week Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction (MBSR) programme  and she has developed a number of workshops all of which emphasize the application of mindfulness as an agent for change.

 

Jane also coaches for us and mindfulness plays a central role in her approach.   Enhanced by her practice of presence, “bringing her whole self to the engagement with the client and being fully in the moment with and for the client”, she finds that the coaching alliance becomes a powerful catalyst for change. Jane is accredited with the Association for Coaching and has ongoing supervision for her work.

 

Jane studied psychology as part of her undergraduate degree in music. She completed a Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling and Psychotherapy and holds an Advanced Certificate in Cognitive Behavioural Approaches to Psychotherapy & Counselling. She is currently completing her MA in Mindfulness-based approaches in the School of Psychology at Bangor University, where she received a distinction for her work on Mindfulness and Individual Therapy. She undertook her mindfulness teacher training in that context.  Jane has attended a number of mindfulness retreats for personal and teacher training purposes, many of which focused specifically on the practice of interpersonal mindfulness. She has a committed daily meditation practice and is deeply appreciative of the benefits of this in her everyday life.
