Jane has extensive experience working in the field of organisational and personal development, delivering individual coaching and workshops for global corporations and NHS Trusts.
Her academic background includes an MSc with distinction in mindfulness-based approaches from Bangor University. She has an honours degree in music, a post-graduate diploma in education and has completed further studies in coaching, psychology and psychotherapy.
Mindfulness is integral to Jane's life and work and she is passionate about bringing the benefits of it to individuals and into the workplace. She teaches the MBSR program in a group and 1-1 format and has developed a suite of workshops for the workplace which emphasize mindfulness as an agent for change. Her approach to coaching is informed by and based on mindfulness. Jane has a particular interest in interpersonal mindfulness, particularly the innovative and structured meditation practice of Insight Dialogue (ID) developed by Dr. Gregory Kramer. She has completed the Interpersonal Mindfulness (IM) training for MBSR teachers which qualifies her to teach the 8-week IM programme, a course based on the practice of ID and formatted for MBSR graduates.
Jane has been invited to speak at numerous conferences including the 2013 BACP conference where she was one of the keynote speakers. She has a long-standing daily mindfulness practice, is committed to ongoing silent and ID retreat practice and is deeply appreciative of the benefits of personal and interpersonal meditation in her everyday life.
